This is an absolutely heartbreaking decision, but due to a change in my personal circumstances, I am looking for a truly special home for Sunny.
I have owned Sunny since he was a yearling, so I know him inside out. He has always wanted for nothing, and it is incredibly important to me that he finds a home where he will continue to be loved and cherished just as he has been.
Breeding & Type
Sunny is a striking 16.3hh Breeders Elite gelding boasting exceptional show jumping bloodlines. His sire, Creevy Pachino Cruise, has successfully competed up to 1.50m, demonstrating power, scope, and athleticism. His dam, Southside It’s Unique Business, contributes quality and refinement, which is clearly reflected in Sunny’s natural ability.
Schooling & Experience
Sunny’s flatwork is still a work in progress, his walk and trot are beautiful, but his canter needs further development due to my lack of time and experience.
He has jumped and shows a natural, effortless technique over a fence. While still green, he is incredibly honest and willing. He has been schooled over jumps by a professional rider and has happily popped smaller fences with me.
He has enjoyed a varied life including:
• Pole work clinics
• Lessons at Talland
• Fun rides and forest rides
• Holidays away
He hacks alone or in company, is good in open spaces, and is always ridden in a snaffle. Even with a less experienced rider, he is kind and looks after you.
Temperament
Sunny is a sensitive soul who thrives on confidence from his rider. He is not a horse you can push or ride strongly, he will simply shut down. He needs a sympathetic, confident, light-handed rider to bring out the very best in him.
Handling & Management
• Can be slightly sticky to load (trailer experience only), but I can load him and am happy to demonstrate. I have also worked with a professional loader.
• Travels quietly
• Good to shoe and clip (not keen on ears being clipped)
• Requires sedation for the dentist
• Up to date with vaccinations, physio, and all care
Additional Notes
• Previously treated for gastric ulcers (now clear) , managed carefully with diet
• Small flat sarcoid in armpit – unchanged and does not affect him
• Prefers plenty of turnout and has always lived happily with mares, geldings, and ponies
• Can be slightly spooky when not in consistent work (e.g., road markings), but nothing malicious
Home
Home is far more important than price. I am looking for a forever home where Sunny can continue to thrive and be adored. He is kind, genuine, and has been ridden by a variety of riders. Due to my circumstances I would like a quick hassle free sale to the best of homes.
