Obi is a stunning, talented all-rounder with a particular love for show jumping. He has competed successfully up to Newcomers and confidently jumps 1.20m at home, showing ample scope to progress further.
He has been placed across Eventing (BE90 & BE100), Show Jumping (up to 1.10m) and Dressage (Novice level).
Highlights include:
– 2nd place at the 2025 Bates BE100cm Arena Event National Championships
– 2nd placed BE100cm horse nationwide in 2024 for number of double clears
Obi is good to shoe, box, and clip (he genuinely enjoys being clipped – he treats it as a body massage!). Hacks beautifully both alone and in company.
He hunted once this winter and was impeccably behaved at a large opening meet.
Owned and produced by myself an amateur rider since he was a 4-year-old, with no vices. He can throw an excitable squeal or cheeky buck when fresh early in the season, but otherwise is a joy to ride.
Looking for the best home only as he has now outgrown me (I’m 5’5” / 54kg). Obi has been my partner in crime for many years, surpassing all expectations. He now needs to continue his career with a competitive, competent, and confident amateur—ideally someone who enjoys show jumping as much as he does (he’s less enthusiastic about eventing!).
