Purdey is a rising 4yo, 13.3 reg New Forest bay mare, by Long Copse Elton.

Lightly backed in 2025, she is very friendly and intelligent, loves her work and is now back in from the winter which she had off and was turned away to mature.

Doing very well with her groundwork and is ready to start again with her ridden work.

Lots of potential with plenty of bone and substance, a lovely project ready for a competent and knowledgeable person to bring on. Would carry a lightweight adult (backed and ridden away by a lightweight lady rider).

Purdey was bought as a 2yo as a companion and is now ready to progress and start work as in her current home she has no rider.

We are looking for an experienced, kind and knowledgeable home for her.

She is good to load, travel, catch, farrier (barefoot), groom, good in traffic. Lives out but does enjoy a snooze in her stable when she does come in!
