15 year old Welsh mare, approx 11.1hh, a genuine and hard-to-find safe first pony for very young children.

She is an absolute saint on the ground and will happily stand for hours to be groomed, fussed and pampered by the smallest of children. A true confidence giver and the type you can trust completely for little ones to learn around safely.

A proven lead rein – steady, sensible and takes excellent care of her rider. Perfect for first rides and building confidence. Not a top level competition pony, but invaluable for a child starting out / local shows.

Experience:
• Loves hacking and is excellent in traffic
• Unfazed at busy shows and events
• Has taken part in fancy dress and fun rides
• Used to children and a busy environment

Manners:
• Good for farrier (barefoot), dentist and to clip
• Good with the vet (just prefers a confident adult handling her)
• Loads well in a lorry, needs a bucket for a trailer but travels well and will stand all day at a show alone or in company

Management:
• Needs restricted grazing in summer months, has had laminitis in previous home which wasn’t disclosed to us. Easily managed with exercise and restricted grazing.
• Happy to live in or out, alone or in company

Ideal home:
A family looking for a safe, kind and genuine first pony where children can learn to handle, groom and ride with confidence.

Not suitable for a serious competitive home – she excels as a safe, steady child’s pony rather than a performance pony. We are selling her as lead rein only as that is all she has done in her 4 years with us.

A very sad sale of a much-loved pony – only available because children have given up riding and must go to the very best home.
