Heatwave WSH (Basil) is a beautiful, elegant stamp of event horse that combines some of the very best thoroughbred and Irish breeding lines. He has three correct athletic paces giving him the real wow factor and a jump that has plenty of scope. He is clever and bold with a fantastic trainable attitude to all his work.

Basil gained 68% in his first BD test and has been to arena hire working over a variety of show jumps with different fillers. He has been xc schooling a couple of times and went over ditches, through water and negotiated steps as well as other types of fences and combinations with ease; demonstrating his willingness to learn throughout.

His dam has produced exceptional progeny including Basil’s older half brother Kontendro who has won at 3* and completed Blenheim in 2024. His sire Herald III is renowned for the quality of the thoroughbred influence that he adds to top event breeding. He is sold directly from the breeder due to change in circumstances.

He does weave but this has never been an issue. With 64.45% thoroughbred blood he has all the makings of a top class event horse, be that with a professional, or experienced amateur rider looking to excel in Eventing competition.
