Miss Costa (Poppy) is a rising 7-year-old, 16.1hh Irish Sport Horse with a fantastic attitude and temperament.

Poppy has been with us for 18 months, during which time she has taken part in all Pony Club disciplines, attending training, competitions, and camps. In 2025, she qualified for the Pony Club National Championships at PC90 and PC100 Show Jumping, taking the atmosphere and occasion completely in her stride. She has also won and been placed at 110cm show jumping, dabbled with pure dressage, evented and been on fun rides.

She is a pleasure to take to stay-aways and competitions – she travels well, settles easily, and is happy away from home. Poppy hacks confidently alone or in company. She is equally as happy at home in a family setting (as she is with us) or on a competition yard. She does not require daily riding (is hacked out by mum) and is good to shoe, clip, bath, and handle.

While she is straightforward to manage, she is not suited to a novice rider. Poppy would thrive with a competitive, confident but calm rider who wants to go out competing straight away, but also wants to spend the time at home bringing out her full potential as she is still young and learning but so willing to please and has so much more to give.

This is a very sad and genuine sale of Teenagers much-loved horse. Despite our best efforts, they are just not the right match for each other, and Poppy is far too talented to remain as just a hack. She is adored by us and her trainers, full of character, and has brought us immense joy.
