Cleo is a Lovely 7yo bay mare, 16.2hh, homebred so full history known. By Ramiro B out of a Cruising dam line, with Philanderer (Jumbo) in the sire line.
She’s the sweetest mare to have around – very kind, laid back and easy to do in every way. Good to box, shoe and clip, never been lame, no vices, splints or sarcoids.
Cleo is still learning her job but has all the right attributes – very willing, genuine and gives you a lovely feel. She’s currently jumping 1.20m at home and showing plenty of ability, careful and clever with it. Her record reflects her education – if she’s a bit green and has a look, she learns quickly and comes back better for it.
She’s done a bit of everything – been hunted, I’ve field mastered off her, evented up to Novice, and jumped up to 1.10 Unaffiliated SJ. She excels in the SJ phase as she is quick and careful, she would happily just showjump too. Cleo has also been used to teach my completely non-horsey boyfriend to ride, which says a lot about her temperament!
She’s a very safe mare with good self-preservation, not silly or sharp, and always wants to help you out - she can spook out hacking and can be a but wizzy/likes to go forwards. She is not strong.
She has the ability to go on and do more (likely intermediate level in time), but equally she’d be ideal for someone wanting a genuine, fun horse to go out and enjoy — riding club, low level competing, hunting, clinics etc. She’d suit an amateur or family home really well.
She’s a pleasure to have at home and will be a very sad sale.
