Texas is a sweet, willing mare who is sure to make someone a fantastic all-rounder. She is easy to handle on the yard, polite, and a pleasure to do in every way.

We have owned Texas for the past two years and have produced her slowly and correctly, allowing her plenty of time to mature. Throughout this time she has always taken everything in her stride and has happily done everything asked of her.

She is a comfortable ride who is beginning to work nicely in an outline. Forward-thinking and responsive without being too sharp, she is happily ridden in a snaffle at all times.

Texas has a lovely jump and is unfazed by fillers. She has been out to local arena hires and was super.

She has also been hunting, which she thoroughly enjoyed — standing patiently and happily jumping hedges. She would make a super horse for pleasure rides, riding club activities, or someone wanting a fun and genuine partner to continue producing. She has been out on local pleasure rides.

Texas hacks well both alone and in company. When hacking alone or up front she has occasionally had the odd worried spin, although this has improved the more we have done with her. For this reason, she would best suit a fairly confident rider to continue bringing out her full potential and will not suit a novice rider.
