Not a first pony or a novice ride, he is a sensitive horse and needs a kind, quiet rider who will take time to understand him and he will give you the world.

Monty is a very fun, forward-going little horse with the sweetest temperament who always wants to please. In the 2 years we’ve had him, he has brought on my daughters riding a huge amount and has taught her so much.

With us, he has competed in unaffiliated showjumping up to 90cm with scope, jumped xc fences and courses at arena hires up to 105cm. He loves his jumping along with being very careful and quick making him the perfect pony to just enjoy, however, we have realised that he isn’t keen on being in the busy show environment too often and gets a bit stage fright and this is something my daughter wants to be doing.

He is an absolute cross country machine and will jump any fence you point him at, he would be best suited to a home with a confident rider who just wants to have fun going out to arena hires, xc and the occasional show, where he usually places.

In the school he has 3 proper paces and can hold a nice outline, and is good to hack alone or in company, he can be spooky but as long as you’re confident he will get over it straight away.

Almost back in full work due to my daughter having a lack of time to ride due to exams.

A lot of time and thought has gone into this decision and it’s a very sad sale, please no time wasters!!
We would like to keep in touch with his next owners and are in no rush to sell him and he will only be going to a perfectly suited home.
