Dolton is a beautifully put-together, pure-bred, New Forest gelding with excellent conformation.

He’s a clever, versatile, pony who has done lots however, he is happiest jumping on grass (60-80cm with us but, can jump higher) out hunting, cross country, pony club, beach rides and not in an arena.

He loves to hack and is very chilled either up front or at the back. He is never spooky, sharp or strong and is always ridden in a snaffle. He would suit a small confident teenager or adult who likes to get out and about. He is not a first ridden.

Ideal Home
Dolton does have his own opinions and can throw a buck but, not enough to have my petite 10 year old off. He is best suited to an experienced, confident rider with a secure, positive leg. 
Dolton prefers a quiet yard with plenty of turnout, where he can build trust and enjoy a regular routine. He’s easy to manage with calm, confident handling and thrives with someone who understands a pony with his own boundaries. He can be grumpy/pull faces on the ground.

He was originally bought for my son and daughter to share.  Circumstances have changed, my son has lost interest and my daughter has decided she wants to focus on show jumping, which is not his favourite discipline.

Dolton’s new home is extremely important to us and he will only go to an experienced, confident home that can offer the above.

No time wasters please, he is a much loved pony and this has been a really hard decision for us all.

Comes with a Le Mieux grackle bridle and rugs.
