Ricky has been bred by a close friend using three generations of carefully selected homebred mares, with his pedigree tracing back to Calvados, Concorde and Wellington. His dam successfully competed up to 1.30m, giving him an excellent foundation for a future in sport.

He is a well-made, athletic type with a good brain, a genuine attitude and all the attributes to develop into a quality eventer or showjumper. He is a nice mover, shows a natural technique over a fence and has plenty of scope for someone to produce him further.

Ricky is a kind, straightforward young horse to have around. He is easy to catch, lead and handle, is good for the farrier, and has been given the time to mature naturally without being rushed.

Having recently been brought in from the field, he has just begun some light groundwork and is taking everything in his stride. He is offered for sale now before being turned away again, with plans to be backed later in the year.
