An elegant, athletic young mare with exceptional breeding, a genuine temperament and all the attributes to excel in either eventing or showjumping. Carefully produced with her future in mind, Penny has an excellent foundation and is proving brave, trainable and willing in everything she does.
She has attended arena hires, cross-country schooling and has competed in unaffiliated dressage and showjumping, always taking new experiences in her stride. She is an elegant mover with three balanced paces, with a naturally balanced canter that is easy to ride and gives her an excellent foundation for both eventing and showjumping. She works in a soft, consistent contact in a snaffle and is brave, careful and athletic over a fence. She is developing a lovely technique and shows plenty of scope for the future.
Penny comes from a proven performance family. Her dam is a three-quarter sister to 5* event horse Hasty Imp, while her half-brother, Ratheoin Quality Imp, was sold to Canadian 5* event rider Lisa Marie Fergusson following his success in the RDS 5-year-old event classes.
She is a pleasure to have around and is straightforward to manage. She hacks confidently alone or in company, is good in traffic, lives happily in or out, has no stable vices, and is excellent to catch, shoe, load and travel.
Although sensible and uncomplicated, she is still a young mare and is best suited to a competent rider looking to continue her education and fulfil her potential.
