Monty is a 15hh, 5-year-old Connemara gelding from good jumping bloodlines. Having purchased him as a 3-year-old, he has been a pleasure to produce and is an easy, genuine horse to have around.
On the flat, Monty works in a consistent contact with three correct, balanced paces. He is willing, trainable and eager to learn, with all the attributes to produce a smart dressage test.
He has attended arena hires and cross-country schooling venues, where he has proved to be bold and genuine to a fence. He is confidently jumping a variety of cross-country fences, showing plenty of scope and a good technique.
Last winter, Monty enjoyed two days hunting with the Duke of Buccleuch Hounds, he stood quietly at the meet, was sensible with the hounds, and proved bold jumping several hunt rails.
Monty is easy to do in every way; good to clip, shoe, load etc. He hacks alone and in company, is good in traffic, stands for gates, and can easily be led from another horse. N/N for HWSD.
