Odin (Son of) – Genuine 4-Year-Old Lusitano x PRE Gelding
Odin is a beautiful 4-year-old (May) Lusitano x PRE gelding by the Lusitano stallion Invasor (“Vinny”), owned by Justine Armitage of Horses in Harmony, and is registered with the Lusitano Society. He was bought as a 2-year-old and has spent the last two years growing up and playing with other youngsters at Penllyn Lusitano, allowing him the time to mature physically and mentally. He is expected to mature at around 15’2hh.
Odin was bought to be my future horse. Sadly, he is likely to be smaller than I had hoped. At 5’9, with my legs being longer than my torso, I realistically need a 16’3hh horse. With another horse already in work and a full-time job involving a hefty commute and time away from home, I cannot give two horses the time and commitment they deserve. This is the only reason he is being offered for sale.
Temperament is Odin’s greatest asset. Having spent the first two years of his life living at home with his breeder in my village, he absolutely loves people and genuinely enjoys human interaction. He is calm, kind and affectionate, with a wonderfully willing attitude and a sensible outlook on life.
Odin remains unbacked, as I was waiting until he turned five before backing him. This gives his new owner the opportunity to continue his education exactly as they wish. He has an excellent foundation and has always been handled with kindness and consistency. As a result, he has complete trust in people and his handler.
He is:

* Expected to mature at approximately 15’2hh.
* Excellent for the farrier (trimmed; kept barefoot).
* Easy to load and unload.
* Travels confidently.
* Responsive to light pressure and understands to move away from the hand.
* Easy to handle and enjoys being around people.
* Has shown no undesirable behaviours during his handling and education.
* Has a beautiful, naturally floaty trot that reflects his quality Iberian breeding.
