Merlin is a handsome 13.2hh, 13-year-old gelding who truly is a pleasure be around.
He has a wonderful, kind temperament and is an exceptionally genuine pony. Merlin happily adapts to the ability of his rider, making him an ideal mother and daughter share. He has been ridden and schooled by an experienced adult, as well as novice and more capable children, always looking after his rider and giving them confidence.
Merlin enjoys a varied workload and loves his jumping. He is bold and honest cross-country, never looking for a stop, and is equally happy in the show jumping arena.
Most recently, Merlin has been owned by a novice young rider who came straight from a riding school. Together they have progressed from the basics to confidently competing, including jumping at Hickstead, achieving placings, and consistently producing double clears in 60cm show jumping classes. He has been an incredible confidence giver and teacher throughout their journey.
Merlin is regularly in the ribbons and is a real yard favourite. He is the sort of pony every parent hopes to find.
He has never been sick or sorry and is up to date with his farrier, dentist and vaccinations. He lives happily in or out, is a good doer, and is easy to manage in day-to-day life.
Merlin does have a couple of minor quirks on the ground due to a difficult start in life. These will be discussed openly and honestly with any genuine prospective purchaser. They are well understood, easily managed, and should not deter someone looking for an exceptional pony.
This is a very difficult sale, and Merlin will only go to the very best home.
