Robin is a 15.3hh 5yo full class 1 Irish draught mare.
Lovely temperament, loves a fuss and groom, easy to do on the ground in all ways, not at all sharp/bargy etc, could easily be handled by a novice. She is very good for the farrier - was fully shod when I got her but because she has great feet, we have gone from fully shod, to just fronts, to now fully barefoot. Fully vaccinated and up to date with worming and dental. Really easy to keep - can be alone or in company, in or out, without complaint. No vices. Easy to load. Travels alone or in company well, stands at a show in the box happily.
Good to hack with or without company (and also with my collie dog running around her!).
Has a lovely "point and go" attitude to jumps, not at all spooky with all sorts of fillers and water trays, lots of scope over a bigger fence, would be a fab hunter! Has done some cross country and is just as easy and keen. Has competed in unaffiliated showjumping up to 90cm showing loads of scope and willing to move up. Also good as gold in a very busy manic warmup!
On the flat she is green but improving every day, and is now taking on a nice contact in all 3 paces with good transitions.
Despite her being a draught, she is very switched on and not spooky to ride, not at all a plod and is a good forward ride (but not overly strong; ridden and jumped in a snaffle) but for this reason would not be for a novice, but definitely safe enough for a good amateur - doesn't need a pro riding. Has not once bucked/reared/napped.
Has an old splint on her R fore that has never caused an issue. Otherwise no other lumps/bumps/issues, and no vet history.
Was a bit fidgety to mount when we first got her but has massively improved now - does not need anyone to hold or anything, and is good as gold and stands 90% of the time. The other 10%, she may take a step back or forward and you'll just represent / adjust and get on.. Nothing dramatic at all.
Not in a rush to sell but ultimately I'd like a taller more blood horse for myself to show-jump, but she will continue to be produced until sale, with plans to start her BS career shortly where her price would increase in line with her competition record and experience.
