After much thought, the difficult decision has been made to offer our much-loved Christopher Columbus ("Bandit") for sale. This is an incredibly genuine sale as his current rider is progressing onto the next stage of her dressage journey, as she has sadly outgrown Bandit. This pony of a lifetime has been an outstanding partner to two sisters, ever since we got him as a green 4-yr old, helping his then novice rider on her first own pony develop in confidence and skill while achieving consistent success in the competition arena. Younger sister picked up the reins less than a year ago and Bandit has taken her from Prelim to Elementary with consistent high 60s scores and 70s in the space of 6 months in her first year of registered dressage competition. Ever since we got Bandit, he has NEVER needed to be ridden by an adult, only ever ridden by his young partners with regular professional coaching.
Bandit is a talented, kind and honest pony who also loves his cross country jumping, has hunted, done Dublin Horse Show qualifiers, Interschools showjumping, working hunter classes, even survived pony club camp! However, his current jockey has fully focused on dressage as the priority for the past year, so jumping has taken a backseat and is rusty. Therefore he is being sold as a dressage pony first and foremost and reschooling is needed to bring his jumping back on (the jumping videos are from 1-2 years ago and dressage videos mostly from this year).
