Maverick is a beautiful 6-year-old grey Grade 1 Connemara gelding N/N looking for his forever home.
He passed a 5-stage vetting when purchased from Ireland last year and has never been sick or sorry. He has clear X-rays, available to serious buyers.
He is up to date with:
* Vaccinations
* Teeth
* Back
* Farrier
He is excellent to clip (he'll literally stand without a headcollar), bath, load, travel and for all general handling. Maverick suits being with other horses and would not suit being the only horse.
Maverick is looking for a knowledgeable, patient home where someone is willing to invest time in building a genuine bond with him. He is a very sensitive pony with new people and can take time to let his guard down. However, once he trusts you, he is incredibly loyal and will give you everything he has.
There is absolutely no malice in him—he simply needs understanding and consistency.
He has plenty of natural ability. He is extremely talented over a fence with masses of scope and has all the potential to make a fantastic jumping pony, or eventing prospect.
He is also smart on the flat, working consistently in a soft, light contact when in regular work.
Maverick was in ridden work until around 8 weeks ago but has since been turned away due to personal circumstances.
He is therefore being offered as a project for someone to bring back into work and produce their own way. He is still young and would not suit a novice rider.
