A very much heart breaking decision but just testing the waters.. (only a 10* home and homes will be vetted)
Ellie ❤️
15.3/16hh AES mare. Bred by the billy stud by Billy Congo x Koongraff. Her direct dam has produced 2 160 siblings (one being a full brother) and 5 140 + jumpers.
We bought Ellie in spring with the intention of jumping her up the ranks, however she just hasn’t got the stride to make up distances when the jumps get to 130 level. We don’t think it’s fair to keep asking her to make the distances when she’s struggling.
She’s an out and out winner at 1m - 115. She won the 1m on Wednesday without even trying! Recently picked up a few foxhunter double clears too.
She wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea! She’s blood, bouncy & a spicy little pocket rocket. She absolutely loves her job, she will whizz round 1m10 all day everyday and 9 times out of 10 come home with a placing! She’d be such a good contender for the bronze league.
She’s amazing to hack alone & in company on the busiest of traffic. She loves her XC and jumping on grass too. She recently went clear in the 130 at Lincoln show.
When she came to me in February she was horse shy however I’ve done a lot of work on this and now she’s amazing in the warm ups, we still wear ribbon as a caution but she’s really foot perfect.
She can have a buck when she’s excited, but nothing dangerous, she just loves life 🙈
She’s good to shoe, handle and load, she goes on my 26t and my 3.5t and practically canters up the ramp 🤣
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this mare, I’ve had so much fun with her and won so many rosettes but she just doesn’t fit into my schedule and it’s not fair keeping her for the sake of it when she could be out having fun.
Absolutely no novices. She needs someone gutsy, someone who will just sit and kick and enjoy the ride. She’s not for the faint hearted but if you trust her and she trusts you she will give you the absolute world.
She loves her work so wouldn’t suit someone who can’t give her weekly work, she needs to be kept occupied and doing a job.
I’m only testing the water… so please drop me a message if you think she sounds like something you’d be interested in.
Absolutely no day dreamers, she’s an exceptional horse for a realistic price. I won’t give her away (I’d rather keep her and have some babies 🙈🙈) but realistically she’s got so many years left in her so that wouldn’t be fair!
