Candy is a very smart young horse, with all the scope and ability to go on to be a serious competition horse for someone. She has 3 very good paces, and is showing a very scopey jump. She is schooling well on the flat in all 3 paces, and I’d expect her to go out and pull off a fairly smart test.

We have taken her out to a couple of arena hires to jump a course of show jumps where she is taking it all in her stride. Easily jumping around a course of fences 90/1m making them look tiny! We are planning to take her out xc schooling next week, with the view to eventing her later in the season.

Candy has a sweet temperament, she’s very friendly and easy to catch, good to load/travel. She does get a little bit mare-ish at times, mainly on a box with other horses, and in a stable next to another horse, but we have found ways to manage with this. Candy hacks well, and is good in traffic, but can be a bit spooky.

Candy is an out and out competition horse, and needs to go to an experienced rider to bring out the best in her. She is quite green for her age, but we will continue her education until we find her the right home and we expect to have her out competing successfully by the end of the season.
