15.2HH | 12-Year-Old | Buckskin Irish Cob Type Mare
Pebbles is the definition of a genuine, fun, and versatile all-rounder. She is the sort that’s becoming increasingly hard to find – kind, honest, experienced, and happy to turn her hoof to almost anything.
She works beautifully on the flat with a lovely step and a willing attitude, producing a consistent, rhythmical dressage test. She enjoys her jumping and has plenty of experience, having competed at unaffiliated showjumping, cross-country, fun rides, and local showing shows.
Pebbles has been in the same loving mother-and-daughter home since she was six years old. During that time, she gave the mum the confidence to start jumping again after a 10-year break, which speaks volumes about her genuine and forgiving nature. She has been a much-loved member of the family and is only available due to the daughter going away to university.
She hacks happily both alone and in company, is sensible in open spaces, and has always been excellent in the traffic she has encountered with both her current owners and ourselves.
Pebbles is a pleasure to have around the yard. She is good to clip, shoe, catch, and with all the usual handling.
Having only recently come back into work following a quieter period, she has picked everything back up with ease and is proving just what a special mare she is.
This is an incredibly sad sale of a much-loved family friend, and finding her the right home is of the utmost importance. She would make a fantastic partner for someone wanting a safe, capable horse to enjoy a variety of activities, whether that’s riding club, dressage, jumping, hacking, or simply having fun.
A truly special mare who will give her next owners as much enjoyment as she has given her current family.
