I have taken him XC Schooling where he really came into his own. He is bold and willing, happily jumping water, steps, ditches, skinnies, and other solid fences, taking everything in his stride without fuss.
He recently completed a 10 mile charity ride, including 25+ natural jumping obstacles, where he behaved impeccably throughout. He would also make an enjoyable hunt horse.
He is established in his basic flatwork, works well in a snaffle, and has established flying changes. He is not a sharp horse and is generally more of a laid-back ride. However, as with many quality young horses, he benefits from a confident, sympathetic rider who can continue his education. Similar to many Caretino bred horses, he can become opinionated if over-pressured or ridden inconsistently, so he is not suited to a novice home. This is reflected in his sensible price, as finding him the right partnership is far more important than a quick sale.
He hacks well, is easy to handle, good to do in all respects, and is a genuine gentleman on the ground. Clean, correct, and free from stable vices.
