16.3hh, 8 year old Gelding.

Bought as a 5 year old from Ireland by current owners as a Mother/Daughter share. Previous to that he competed at the Royal Dublin Horse Show in the Working Hunter class.

Since then he has had three years doing a little bit of everything including qualifying for Royal International this year with an amateur rider in her teens. He has 3 balanced paces, is nicely schooled and has super manners both ridden and on the ground. He is good to hack alone and in company and isn’t worried by traffic.

He has been competed successfully in the show ring with numerous wins at local level, plus 2nd at Bath and West, a win at the South West Pony Association Hunter class and was placed in a Search for a Star class. He has stayed away at shows with no issue and settled straight away.

He loves to jump and was 1st place BS schools classes in both 90cm and 1m. He is very comfortable jumping around these heights and has started training at home over 105cm. He will go on any stride and is unfazed by fillers.

He has competed at unaffiliated dressage in both Prelim and Novice Classes with scores in the high 60s/low 70s.

Overall Bear is a super allrounder. He has lots of scope and talent and we would love him to find a competent rider who can continue to have fun with him. On the whole he is very easy but he has been known to get a little giddy in very busy warm up arenas. He isn’t ever unsafe but would need a confident rider if he were being competed. At home is is pretty bombproof. Out hacking he can occasionally do a little spook, but it’s only ever mild and doesn’t ever develop into anything else. Welcoming enquiries from 5 star homes.
