It is with very heavy hearts that we are looking for a new home for Jersey. She has been part of our family for the last two years and has been an incredible pony for Izzy, but sadly she has simply been outgrown.
Jersey has done absolutely everything with Izzy and has given her so much confidence, experience and enjoyment. She has been an amazing teacher and has allowed Izzy to progress while always giving her confidence in her ability.
She has experience of Pony Club rallies, One Day Events, showjumping, cross-country schooling, fun rides, beach rides and hacking. She is also just starting to compete in Pony Club teams for eventing and showjumping.
Jersey is just starting her 80cm competitions and is comfortably jumping bigger at home, with plenty of scope to progress further with her next jockey. She has a lovely, consistent rhythm to a fence and is incredibly genuine. She doesn’t change her rhythm, doesn’t get sharp or silly and happily jumps whatever Izzy puts in front of her.
She is bold and genuine cross-country and is particularly good in open spaces, giving her rider plenty of confidence. She is snaffle-mouthed and is very straightforward to ride.
One of the things we love most about Jersey is how much Izzy trusts her. She absolutely loves jumping her and will happily jump her tackless, which says everything about the relationship and trust they have built together.
She hacks alone or in company, has been on beach rides and fun rides and is a lovely pony to take out and about. She is a pleasure to have around and has become a huge part of our family.
We feel Jersey would make a fantastic first serious competition pony for a competent child looking to progress in Pony Club, showjumping or eventing. She has so much to offer and is ready for her next jockey to continue developing her.
She is, of course, still only six, so we’d like her to go to a knowledgeable home that understands young competition ponies and can continue giving her the education and experience she needs.
This is an incredibly hard sale. Jersey is very much loved and finding the right home is far more important to us than a quick sale. We want her to go somewhere where she will be adored and given the opportunity to continue doing what she loves.
