Opal is a homebred mare and is only for sale due to downsizing due to time and space(and owner is not getting any younger unfortunately!)

She is a beautiful mare, she was broken in as a youngster so there is potential for someone to ride her again, but she would need completely restarting so for this reason we are selling her mainly as a broodmare.

She has some of the best bloodlines for someone who would hope to breed with eventing in mind, her dam raced well both in Ireland and the UK and has some of the best old fashioned bloodlines going back to Nijinsky so she has a fantastic pedigree on both sides with plenty of blood and quality.

She has had a vet history that we had fully treated, she has been completely sound now for 3 years after having treatment and should never have the problem again. We are more than happy to disclose this fully with potential buyers.

She does prefer to travel in a 3.5t without a partition in. I have also travelled her in a 7.5t without a partition, but use the 3.5t mostly now as she loads and travels so happily this way.

She is a truly lovely mare who is being very much wasted looking very pretty in the field currently.
