Heartbreaking sale of our much-loved Twinkle, only available as sadly outgrown. ❤️
We have owned Twinkle since he was five years old and have done everything with him during that time, so we genuinely know this little pony inside out. He has been a huge part of our family for the last three years and has given our daughter the most wonderful start to her riding life.
When Twinkle came to us, Saskia was just seven years old and riding him on the lead rein. Over the last three years they have genuinely learnt and grown together. He has taken her from those early lead-rein days to riding independently, going out competing and making some amazing memories along the way. Watching the two of them progress together has been incredibly special.
Twinkle is now 8 years old and is a genuine safe, sensible and fun child’s allrounder. He will hack, school, do dressage, jump, show and compete. He’s just as happy having a quiet day at home as he is getting on the lorry and heading off for a competition.
He isn’t just a pony who could go out and do these things — he has been there and done it. He has competed successfully across different disciplines, been Reserve Champion in lead rein, qualified for STARS and Trailblazers, as well as qualifying through dressage competitions.
Most importantly, underneath all of that he is still the safe, sensible and confidence-giving child’s pony who has looked after our daughter while allowing her to learn, progress and have fun. He has plenty to offer another little jockey who wants to build their confidence but also wants a pony they can get out and compete on.
He happily hacks, is good in traffic and open spaces, and is straightforward to have around. He is easy to catch, groom and handle and has always been very much part of our family. He’s the sort of pony children can enjoy both on the ground and in the saddle.
Having owned him since he was five, we have years’ worth of photos and videos of him doing everything mentioned above and are more than happy to show his journey with us.
We would genuinely keep Twinkle forever if we could, but our children have sadly outgrown him and he has far too much to give to spend his days standing in a field. He deserves another little jockey of his own to go out, have fun, progress and make the same sort of memories we have been lucky enough to make with him.
Saskia would absolutely love to stay in touch and watch him continue his journey with his next little rider. ❤️
Twinkle really is worth his weight in gold as a child’s allrounder. He would equally suit a little jockey wanting a safe, sensible pony to have fun with, hack and enjoy, or someone wanting to start getting out and about and progress into dressage, jumping and competitions. He’s already been there and done it, so there is plenty for his next little rider to enjoy without them having to produce a pony from scratch.
A knowledgeable, loving home is an absolute priority over a quick sale.
Full wardrobe, including his fitted saddle and tack, is available by separate negotiation.
Twinkle is up to date with vaccinations and teeth and has been regularly maintained with physio throughout the time we’ve owned him. He is good for the farrier, easy to catch and handle, and travels well. No known health issues. Open to vetting. Full history known as we have owned him since five.
In the three years we have owned Twinkle, he has always been a safe, sensible and genuine pony for us. He has taken our daughter from lead rein to riding independently and competing, and we have extensive photos and videos documenting their journey together. As with any pony, we cannot guarantee how he will behave in every situation or with every rider, so we encourage prospective buyers to come and try him properly and make sure he is the right match for their child.
