Blue is a 15.2hh 7yo Irish Draught x Connemara gelding. He has been owned for the last two years by a teenage rider and has done a variety of things in that time including showjumping, dressage, arena eventing, ODEs, XC schooling and plenty of hacking.
He is currently competing at 80cm and is schooling 90cm+. He has won at arena eventing and unaffiliated dressage, had numerous placings unaffiliated showjumping and has also been placed at an unaffiliated ODE, where he had the best dressage score.
He’s more woah than go, with a chilled, sensible and laid-back attitude to life. He schools nicely on the flat and is straightforward to jump, and would really suit someone looking for a safe, steady type who doesn’t need riding every day. He hacks alone and in company, is great in traffic and sensible in open spaces. He is also often used to ride and lead.
Blue is easy to have around and good to shoe, clip, load and travel. He happily lives in or out and is used to living with others. Having previously been kept on livery at a riding school, he is well used to a busy yard environment including children, dogs, sheep and farm machinery. He’s straightforward to take out and about and easy to manage day to day.
He is a genuine all-rounder and we think he’d make a great Pony Club or Riding Club horse, family share or hunter. He has plenty to offer someone wanting to get out, have fun and enjoy a bit of everything.
A very sad sale of a much-loved horse, and finding him the right home is incredibly important to his owners.
