Dream is an absolutely gorgeous 16h bay roan 4 year old Connemara x ISH alrounder gelding.
Dream is one in a million who has so much class, quality and potential with the most amazing temperament to match. He is very well bred registered ISH being half Connemara and half ISH, he has his full breeding recorded with 5 generations of pedigree. He is a gorgeous unique bay roan with a silver mane and tail and really stands out from the crowd. He has a very handsome head with a kind eye that just draws people to him. He is a super stamp and a lovely desirable size so would suit both teenagers coming off ponies as well as adults alike; making him a super mother/daughter share. He has excellent conformation, clean limbs, is blemish free and has straight movement. He would excel in the show ring in working hunter clases. He is like an over grown Labrador with a very generous “can do” willing attitude that he brings to everything he does. He is more like a 5/6 year old as has an old head on young shoulders and is very much the definition of “straightforward”.
Dream has three super paces and works nicely on the flat. He has a very soft snaffle mouth with a lovely contact feel. He works correctly between leg and hand into a soft outline. He is a lovely medium speed to ride where you can nicely get your leg on him but you haven’t got to keep nagging. He is not at all sharp or hot, he is very level headed and sensible. He makes you feel confident and safe. He is a very good boy to ride with no ridden vices; people can’t believe he is 4 as he is better behaved than most 8 year olds. He would suit lots of riders a she is straightforward but I wouldn’t like him to go to a novice as he is still young and isn’t the finished product just yet. I just think he deserves a rider who knows what they are doing. He is a very easy youngster who has had the correct start and would be easy enough for a competent teen coming off ponies or amateur to produce further. He has such a lovely attitude to his work and is a quick learner who always has a smile on his face. He has been out to a few unaffiliated dressage competitions in Ireland where he was well placed. He has the potential to excel in dressage at riding club and affiliated level.
Dream loves his jumping and makes a lovely shape over a fence. He is very honest and genuine to jump. He doesn’t get at all strong or fizzy, juts super easy and straight forward. He is nice and brave and jumps all fillers and water trays first attempt confidently. He is lovely and rideable around a course of jumps, maintaining his rhythm. He has been out to compete in sj and arena eventing in Ireland, where he won a Horse Sport Ireland arena eventing competition at 80cm. He has been jumping around 90cm at arena hires with plenty of scope to step up to 1m. He is very good to ride at new places and has a very good attitude to his jumping with a lovely adjustable canter.
He is equally as bold over xc jumps. He proved very straight forward and easy to ride jumping everything asked of him including going through the water. He nicely takes you into the jumps but isn’t at all strong, always in a snaffle, very polite. I can see him really excelling as an eventer or top end riding club horse as he is brilliant at all 3 disciplines. He would make a super Badminton grass roots prospect.
Dream is super to hack alone and in company. He is good in traffic and confident in his own skin. If a large lorry or tractor comes past we just stand in a driveway and let him look at it but he’s a very good boy. He is brilliant in open spaces, very sane and sensible. He is very mannerly and will canter happily in any order on an easy rein. He has been on pleasure rides which he loves and is so much fun. He has also hunted on several occasions last season in Ireland where he took it all in his stride. He would be very well suited to someone wanting to combine pleasure rides with competing, or equally just one or the other. Equally he would be lovely for mum to hack whilst daughter competes.
Dream has a superb kind friendly temperament. He’s like an over grown Labrador. He loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend as he is so interactive and forms a really strong bond. He loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. He is a good to handle in all ways. He lives in and out and is happy turned out next to or in with other horses, he is very quiet in the field and gets on well with all horses and ponies. He is currently turned out overnight and comes in during the day, he is so easy to have around. He is good to shoe, bath, catch, lead ect. He loads perfectly (single handed) and travels like a dream. He really is such a genuine honest horse who deserves the best of homes. You can’t quite believe how friendly and kind he is until you meet him! He is a real yard favorite! He has been in the same home all of his life up until recently, hes been a very well loved horse and not passed around.
Dream would be very suitable for a competent teenager coming off ponies and adults alike. He would make a fabulous eventer/riding club alrounder/ dressage/sj. He would also suit a home wanting to do hacking, pleasure rides and hunting as he is a very sensible boy. Only available to a 5* home who is willing to keep in touch.
