I purchased Penguin from Ireland two years ago, and he has been an absolute pleasure to produce. During our time together we have competed and won dressage competitions, showjumped, trained cross country, attended clinics and enjoyed numerous sponsored rides. He has been a brilliant all rounder and is always willing to give everything a go.
Penguin is always the first to greet you, enjoys attention and never fails to make us laugh. He truly is a yard favourite.
Penguin happily hacks alone or in company, happy to lead the way or sit at the back, and thoroughly enjoys getting out and about.
In the school, Penguin works nicely on the flat, is established in his schooling, works correctly in all three paces and knows his canter leads. He is eager to learn and easy to teach.
Penguin is naturally careful and genuine, with a great technique and plenty of scope. Cross country he is brave, happily leads other horses and confidently popped into water on his first attempt without hesitation. He has all the attributes to continue progressing up the levels with the right rider, or even in the showings ring!
On the ground, Penguin is a pleasure to have around. He is easy to catch, groom and handle, stands well for the farrier (currently shod all round) and loads and travels well in both 3.5 tonne and 7.5 tonne lorries.
Penguin is still a young horse and has always been ridden by confident, balanced riders. Because of this, he can be tense if ridden by inexperienced or nervous riders, so he is not suitable for a novice home. He would thrive with a knowledgeable rider who will continue his education and enjoy everything this talented little horse has to offer.
This is a very difficult sale of a much loved horse, and finding the right home is very important. Please only get in touch if you feel you can offer Penguin the experienced, loving home he deserves. Only for sale due to finishing my studies and starting a full time job.
