Sad sale of much loved pony due to being outgrown - 5 Star home only.
Oscar is a 14.0hh Connemara. We have owned him since he was five and he is a unicorn. He is safe enough for a small child, yet talented and competitive when asked to step up at bigger competitions.
With my young son, he has competed in dressage, showjumping, cross-country and eventing, he has done fun rides and he hunted in Ireland before we owned him. He’s done all Pony Club activities and Camp. Reference available from Wylye Valley PC.
He qualified for, and was part of the winning team at the British Showjumping national schools finals, 60 cm, and was team third in the 70 cm, in August 2026.
He was 3rd in a BE70, finishing on his dressage score, first time eventing with my 11-year-old son in July. He was also 6th in a BE80 earlier this year with an older rider. Ground conditions have meant we haven’t been out since.
He has numerous wins and placings at British showjumping. My son has been competing up to 80cm but jumping up to 90cm in training.
He would suit pony club home, or eventer – he loves x-country!
He confidently hacks on his own or with a group, and is not phased by any traffic or obstacle that you might meet. He’s completely chilled in all situations, including at shows.
He is up-to-date with teeth, Farrier and jabs and has recently had his Saddle checked. Good to clip, wash, load, travel and with vet. Bombproof on the ground. Never bucked or reared, no vices. Comes with full tack and wardrobe.
Oscar has qualified for NSEA 60cm and 70cm team and individual finals at Hickstead on 20 August, and can be viewed at Hickstead 19th or 20th. Available for sale from 22nd August.
