Fred is a loving, willing and forward horse who thrives on having a job. He has plenty of previous hunting experience, which he thoroughly enjoys, and is a real pleasure to hack. He is a fun ride with a great jump and has also successfully competed in Pony Club showjumping, dressage and eventing.

Fred is best suited to a confident rider and would make a lovely horse for someone looking to hack, hunt and enjoy. Fred always looks after his rider, my daughter has never falling off him in the four years we have owned him.

He has no vices and is good to shoe, clip, travel, have his teeth done etc. He can occasionally be a little bolshy on the ground, but is generally straightforward and easy to handle.

Fred does have a known veterinary history and may require some ongoing management. Whilst some low-level Pony Club work could be considered for the right rider, we feel hunting and hacking would be the best fit for him moving forward.

Sadly we can no longer give Fred the time he deserves, so are looking for a full loan home where he will be well cared for. He is a special horse to us, so we would like to remain involved in his life. We would also like to visit his prospective home before agreeing the loan and preferably would like applicants to be within approximately a 2-hour drive.
