Moose (Musical Masquerade):

A beautiful horse with a great conformation, Moose has been retrained professionally over the last two years after being lightly raced as a 5yo.

He has a fantastic temperament, polite but super cuddly and loves people. Well schooled with established lateral work in all 3 paces.

Moose has been to many clinics and will stand happily and wait his turn. He’s been out to dressage shows and placed including 3rd and 4th last weekend in his prelims.

He’s also been out to lots of unaffiliated SJ with clear rounds and placings. He’s currently competing at 1m but has a seriously scopey jump to move up the levels. He’d be ready to affiliate now. Good with fillers/water trays etc, he’s very genuine in the ring and has never stopped at a show.

He’s done lots of XC schooling although I don’t think he has the bravery XC to go up the levels. With time I think he’d make a nice grassroots horse as he is genuine and does try his best. He’s also done some arena XC at Somerford and had more confidence on a surface.

Hacks out alone or in company, good in traffic and in open spaces. Good to clip/shoe/catch/load. Prefers travelling in company but does travel politely alone. Happy in a trailer or lorry.

Has a small lump on his hind leg from a cut that has been gradually going down. Also has a very small possible sarcoid between his front legs, it’s a few millimetres wide and not noticeable unless pointed out.

He turns out well with mares or geldings. I would prefer him to go to a home with a decent amount of year round paired or group turnout as this is what he’s used to. Homes will be vetted.
