Exciting opportunity to acquire a competitive horse with a proven record, with potential for the big tracks.
16.1hh, 13-year-old gelding by Contendros with Balou du Rouet lines, previously evented to 3* before successfully making the transition to showjumping, where he has excelled as a showjumper.
His career change was through no fault of his own. He has always been a careful and keen jumper with his previous owner showjumping with him over the winters and we totally fell in love with him.
Multiple wins at 1.20,1.25, 1.30 and won both his and his riders first 1.40 on the 5th August 2026.
He is still Grade C so eligible for plenty of qualifiers with his next rider.
Hp Sauce would suit a confident, competitive Junior or Young Rider looking for a horse to progress through the levels. Bold, brave and quick across the ground, all the qualities you would want in a Junior/Young Rider teams horse. Equally, he would be a fantastic addition to a professional’s string as he’s has plenty more to give. He would make a great speed/grand prix horse.
He loves a jump off, is super careful and will happily take a miss and not hold it against you. HP has huge scope and breadth, no fence is ever too big or wide for him.
Hp is very well schooled on the flat due to his eventing background with auto changes, half pass and much more. He has huge adjustability in his gaits and is so much fun to school.
Hp is a huge character on the yard and pleasure to own and be around both at home and shows. He loves attention and fuss.
I believe he has much more to give in the ring, he trains around 1.50 with ease and scope for more. But his rider is just stepping up to these heights so its a learning curve.
Hp isnt strong (he schools in a snaffle and jumps in a bevel). However he is a forward and blood horse so needs a confident and competitive rider.
Genuine sale due to rider getting a full time job and will no longer have time for him. He is fit, sound and ready to crack on in a new home.
Reasonably priced for a horse of his calibre, x-rays avaliable
