With brilliant conformation, three pleasing paces and a great brain, Lexi is sure to thrive as a showjumper, eventer or all-rounder. Lexi was backed as a 5-year-old, which has allowed her the time to grow and develop. She is very balanced and has an excellent 'I can do' attitude. Over the last 3 months she has been learning all the foundations she will need for the future.
Out hacking, Lexi is very confident with any and all types of traffic, including tractors, motorbikes, pigs and cars. She will happily go in front or behind, alone or in company. She has been on multiple hacks alone while I was on foot and a few hacks alone while under saddle. Each time she showed how brave and happy she was. She is naturally a horse who wants to explore and see new things.
In the school Lexi is coming on leaps and bounds every single ride. Currently she is working on travelling forward into a consistent contact. She is doing really well at this and is very nearly there. Her canter is extremely balanced for her age, and she never rushes. As with any youngster, there is still work to do with her transitions, but I am sure they will come in no time. Lexi is such a pleasure to work with, as she loves to learn.
She has just started her jumping journey and is proving to be very brave, jumping everything in front of her. Recently Lexi went to her first arena hire, where she was foot perfect. She stood perfectly to tack her up and get on. Warmed up sweetly, staying confident and focused even though it was a completely new place to her and there were tonnes of new things to see. She then proceeded to pop around her first course without batting an eyelid, including jumping all the fillers.
