IE Puddleduck (Petal) is a 15.3hh, 10-year-old British Warmblood mare with an established competition record and plenty of scope and ability for the future.
With her previous rider, she successfully evented up to BE100, participated in the Cotswold Cup and achieved multiple top 10 placings and double-clear performances. With us, she has taken my then 14-year-old daughter from jumping around 65/70cm to confidently jumping 90cm plus fences. However, by no means is this her limit, and with her previous competition experience and ability, she could happily step back up to eventing and higher-level jumping with the right rider.
Petal is a forgiving mare who doesn’t require the perfect stride to a fence and benefits from a confident rider who will keep her thinking forwards. She would make a lovely step up from ponies for a teenager looking for a horse they can learn and progress with, whilst also suiting a PC home or adult wanting a quality allrounder.
She hacks alone and in company and is an end-of-the-buckle, safe ride when out hacking. She enjoys having a varied routine and is equally happy hacking, schooling, jumping or going out competing.
Petal is straightforward to manage and is great to shoe, travel, catch, dentist etc. She is equally happy living in or out and is not fussed about her routine.
Very sad sale of a much-loved mare, and only being sold due to her rider moving onto A-levels/university and no longer having the time she deserves.
Petal is sold with a full wardrobe, including a Fairfax saddle (new in 2025), Henry James bridle, full set of rugs, etc.
