A very exciting opportunity to purchase a quality, performance-bred young Connemara with an exceptional temperament and genuine potential for the future.
Jasper is a beautiful 143cm dun Connemara gelding, rising five in January 2027, by Silver Jumper and out of Silver Dolly. (Silver Shadow bloodlines)
Above everything else, Jasper has the most wonderful temperament. He is exceptionally kind-natured, genuine and easygoing, and is a pleasure to ride, handle and have on the yard.
He is riding away beautifully in walk, trot and canter and is nicely schooled for his age. He has a super attitude towards his work and particularly loves his jumping — he is keen, willing and really does jump for fun.
Currently jumping around 80cm, he has intentionally not been over-jumped as a young pony. We have allowed him time to mature, strengthen and become more balanced and are only now beginning to do a little more with him.
Importantly, Jasper is currently ridden by a nine-year-old child, who happily walk, trots, canters and jumps him.
He has already gained a lovely variety of experience away from home, including Pony Club rallies, gymkhanas, Riding Club and county shows, and has proven himself to be sensible and straightforward when out and about.
Jasper is also an exceptional pony to hack. He will happily go alone or in company and in front or behind. He is fantastic in traffic and has experienced all types, including heavy and fast-moving traffic.
He is excellent for the farrier and currently has front shoes. He loads easily onto a trailer and travels like a dream.
Vaccinations, teeth and worming are all up to date.
No quirks or vices. He really is a very uncomplicated and easygoing young pony.
With his quality, Connemara type, performance breeding, temperament and natural enthusiasm for jumping, we feel Jasper has all the attributes to make an exceptional 143cm Working Hunter Pony. Equally, with his trainability and attitude, we think he could make a fabulous junior event pony.
He has been given a good, varied education without being rushed or over-produced and is now ready for someone to continue his education and fulfil his considerable potential.
A very genuine young pony who is difficult to fault and will only be sold to a knowledgeable, loving home.
