FOR LOAN - LOOKING FOR A HACKING HOME

We are putting out feelers to find our lovely Sprinkles a new loan home. He’s extremely special to us and will only go to a 5* experienced and knowledgeable home.

He’s a 14.3hh Connemara, 15 years old and the sweetest personality, he’s fantastic to hack, being forward but polite. He loves life and going for rides. He is extremely friendly towards people and other horses. Good to shoe, clip, catch, travel etc.

He has previously evented up to BE100, dressage to elementary and schooled at medium level, showjumped to 105 and hunted. He’s always foot-perfect, and takes his rider round safely, he’s not strong and never nasty. Always snaffle-mouthed.

Unfortunately due to a previous injury, he is not up to jumping or competing any more so we are looking for a hacking only home. He is not for competitions, pony club or hunting. We are looking for someone who would like to ride a beautifully mannerered, well balanced horse a few times a week and look after him to high standards.

He is a delight in open spaces and the beach. He’d be perfect for a mum wanting to ride out with a small child. He will happily ride and lead, or be a confidence giving happy hack. He’s perfectly sound for light work but, despite returning to competitive work after his injury, he is too precious to risk pony club and competition anymore. He’s been in a perfect home for the last few years as a fun hack with a mum and her daughter, who is now off to uni so sadly they no longer have any horses.

The most important thing to us is that he’s looked after and loved. Ideally he’d stay around the Shropshire / Cheshire area so we can come and visit him!
