Never raced | Lovely temperament | Lightly started under saddle | Exciting prospect
Very difficult decision, but due to a change in circumstances I am looking for a special home for my lovely gelding, Boston.
Boston is a 5-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, standing approximately 16.3–17hh. He has never raced and has a genuinely lovely, kind temperament.
Boston is lightly started under saddle and has had some professional lessons as part of his backing. During these sessions, he has accepted a rider and has been walked under saddle. I am also able to sit on him. He is still very green and will need an experienced person to continue his education, but he has made a positive start.
He has had plenty of groundwork and is well handled. He:
* Lunges well
* Goes over jumps during groundwork
* Has accepted a rider and walked under saddle
* Is happy for me to sit on him
* Picks up all four feet
* Is regularly seen by the farrier
* Is used to being handled
* Has a kind, willing temperament
Boston has not been rushed, and I feel he is now at a lovely age to continue his education and develop into a ridden horse.
He has lots of potential and could make a lovely all-rounder for someone wanting a horse they can bring on and make their own. His temperament is one of his biggest qualities, and finding him the right home is extremely important to me.
Due to his age and current level of education, Boston is not suitable for a novice. He needs an experienced, knowledgeable home that can continue his education correctly and give him the time he needs.
