James is a very special pony who we have owned for nearly three years. He is only for sale because carriage driving isn’t for him, he much prefers being ridden and has been so straight forward to ride! We are therefore looking for the very best riding home for him.
James is a super comfortable, enjoyable ride and happily takes the leg of a 5’8” rider.
He is a lovely pony to have around and is easy to handle and good in the stable. He is also good for the farrier, vet, clipping and bathing, making him straightforward and uncomplicated to look after.
James is fantastic to hack. He is never strong or pulling, and is equally happy in open spaces, including the beach. He has a sensible, willing attitude and is a real pleasure to take out.
James has lovely uphill paces and is a particularly eye-catching pony. His canter is huge, with plenty more power to develop. We feel he would be very well suited to:
* Pony/riding Club
* Showing / WHP
* Dressage
* Jumping
* General allrounder activities
He has done some jumping and absolutely loved it — we were amazed at how naturally easy he found it! He has plenty of ability and scope to progress with the right rider.
He has occasionally been ridden by an 11-year-old and has attended Pony Club camp, but he is not yet a schoolmaster, so he is not suitable for beginners or novice riders.
We are looking for a competent, experienced and knowledgeable home, ideally someone wanting a talented pony to go out and enjoy and this could be across a variety of disciplines.
With his looks, movement and easy attitude, we really believe James has so much to offer. He is a very special pony to us, so finding the right home is absolutely essential.
