A special combination of breeding, looks, temperament and natural ability.
Having been primarily ridden for pleasure up to now, she will need someone who will take the time to bring her through a proper conditioning program to bridge the gap from pleasure riding back to full fitness.
She has competed successfully over 80cm unregistered in local SJI affiliated shows, interschool competitions and leagues. She also attended Pony Club camp last summer winning her dressage section.
At home, she will jump 1m confidently showing a natural, careful and intelligent technique. She has been introduced to cross-country fences and shows real enthusiasm and confidence when faced with different types of obstacles.
She requires very little interference from the rider to find a fence being naturally good at working out her own stride. She is genuinely at her best when allowed to think for herself rather than being over-ridden. If she finds herself slightly off a stride, she adjusts — either neatly chipping in or taking the extra room when needed. In my experience this cannot be taught - it is innate.
Her temperament is her standout quality. She is wonderfully kind, for me she's patiently accommodated the physical limitations I've acquired in the past few months that have dictated her sale. Always a pleasure to ride and handle, my wish is to see her go to a home where she can be produced while equally being a well loved, all-round family pony.
She is a "go-with-the-flow" girly taking everything in her stride - hacks alone or in company, happy to lead or follow, lives well in a herd or as a single horse, excellent on roads, unphased by farm machinery, dogs and traffic, stands quietly for clipping, vet, dentist, farrier, etc. She is currently living out full time on a track system which has proven invaluable to her - she's your typical Connie, best when living on fresh air! She doesn't require additional feed/supplements currently enjoying mainly meadow hay.
