A promising, super smart prospect with all the right attributes. 

Just under 16hh this lovely, 6 year old, Skewbald, gelding by Laxton Painted Chief out of a TB mare has all the makings of a good competition horse. He moves well and improves all the time. 

He is happy to school and jump. Very good out hacking alone or in Company. Travels well. Good to shoe. He started his education last year 2025 when he was first backed. 

He has been brought on quietly to build his body strength and not be pushed. He didn't do much this summer as I'm sure I do not have to explain why, heat and hard ground! And my lorry was off from May until the end of August this year, so we had to use other transport. 

I do take the horses to the BRC qualifiers which I enjoy. He won his dressage qualifier with a good 67.5% and always placed in others. He was in the qualifying 70 SJ team that won. BUT jumped his first SJ Derby, 30/8/26, 85cm being placed 6th. He has a lot of capability to jump a lot bigger. He has been XC twice outside as we do not have any where in Cornwall to practice anymore. 

He has good paces. For a smaller horse he covers the ground, without trying he usually has the fastest time. It's more schooling at this stage. 

I would like to think a teenager coming off ponies would be good or a smaller adult wanting to enjoy a very loveable horse.
