Ethel is a super smart, flashy 13hh, 13yo mare with a lovely kind temperament and an absolutely brilliant attitude to life. She is a genuine, talented pony who is easy to handle and a pleasure to have around.
Ethel is a keen, forward going pony with more go than woah, so she would suit a confident little rider who enjoys a pony with plenty of enthusiasm and ability. She loves her job and is always keen to get on with it!
She qualified for the PC70 Showjumping Scottish Championships. Regularly jumps up to 80cm showjumping courses, consistently placing — often top 3.
Loves cross country and has placed 1st & 2nd in the two competitions she has attended
Has comfortably jumped up to 1m at home.
Great at pony club camp (easy to handle for a kid) Has done some games and came first in pc competitions .
Lots of hacking, in groups, solo, with bikes. Not phased by cars or farm vehicles.
One of the loveliest things about Ethel is how much she has helped her current young rider develop from being very much a novice and had hardly done any jumping to Just six months later, they were out winning 70cm classes together.
So although Ethel is speedy and forward, we feel a confident novice who is keen to learn, has good support and is prepared to put the work in could absolutely progress with her. She is the type of pony who gives you plenty of confidence in her ability and really wants to please.
Ethel would be an amazing partner for a competitive little rider wanting to have fun, learn and progress through the heights, whilst also being a brilliant allrounder for pony club, hacking, cross country and everything in between
