Professionally and correctly produced from a young age, Elixir has predominantly been ridden by smaller female riders and, more recently, by a teenage boy. He would make an ideal Bronze or Silver League horse, a top-class all-rounder, mother-and-daughter share or a fantastic first horse for a capable rider moving on from ponies.
On the flat, he works beautifully with three flowing, correct paces. He has established lateral work and changes, is exceptionally soft in the mouth and is ridden in a snaffle.
Elixir is extremely bold, brave and genuine, always looking to get from A to B. He is naturally quick against the clock and regularly comes home in the money.
In his most recent home, he has been ridden by a teenage boy and used predominantly for Pony Club activities. Together, they have successfully competed at British Showjumping up to Newcomers/1.10m and enjoyed cross-country hires.
Elixir is a straightforward and versatile horse who could climb back through the British Showjumping or British Eventing rankings, or equally step down and enjoy a varied all-round lifestyle. He is happy competing, attending clinics, cross-country schooling or simply enjoying everyday life.
He is patient and easy to mount from either a block or the ground and will stand quietly for as long as needed.
