Beau is a seriously, talented, and exceptionally genuine 17.0hh gelding with a heart of gold. By the iconic ROUSSEAU (Rambo), he inherits active movement, presence, and athleticism, combining an international cross-country record with exemplary manners. He is a rare find for a competent rider looking for a top-class competition partner.
He is bold, brave, and straight over cross country tracks with an impeccable BE Novice record. At the 2024 Punchestown Irish International Tetrathlon, he flew around the 1.20m XC course to deliver a brilliant clear round inside the time, followed by another storming performance over a technical track at Pontispool in 2026. He is always looking for the next set of flags!
In his previous home, Beau spent a season as a Field Master’s horse, proving his top-class brain, impeccable manners in open country, and calm, sensible nature in group environments.
He has three outstanding, elegant paces with active hind-leg engagement and cadence inherited from his dressage lines. He is very well-schooled on the flat, responsive to light aids, and capable of producing winning dressage tests with the right person.
Over a show jump, Beau is big, scopey, and powerful. While he can occasionally be careless in the showjumping ring, with dedicated winter training and consistent flatwork practice he has proven he can jump lovely, clear rounds.
Beau hacks out both alone and in company. At times can be sharp when hacking alone, but he is fundamentally safe, sensible, and easy to manage—my mum happily hacks him out routinely while I am away at university!
Beau is as wonderful to live with as he is to ride. At shows, stands quietly in the lorry or trailer all day without fuss. On the yard, he is a complete sweetheart with a gentle, loving disposition and no vices. He is an absolute dream for the vet, farrier, dentist, and physio. He is easy to catch, load, and travel. He is 100% sound and open to x-rays.
This is an extremely sad sale strictly due my university study commitments. He must go to a loving, 5-star, competent home where his talent and potential can continue to shine. No novices or nervous riders. Full competition record and photos/videos available on request.
