Beautiful 15.1hh, 14-year-old Welsh Section D mare, Seren Mai, looking for a knowledgeable and loving new home.
We have owned Seren for the past 3 years and she has been a much-loved member of the family. She is being offered for sale through no fault of her own, but sadly due to my daughter’s medical health, she is struggling to get the use out of Seren that she deserves.
Seren is a very kind, laid-back and well-mannered mare who is always willing to please. She has fantastic ground manners and is very responsive to her handler. She likes her routine and thrives when she knows what is expected of her.
🏇 Ridden
Seren is currently hacking and schooling and is well ridden in all three paces.
She is a particularly enjoyable hack and is happy to go alone or in company. She is good with cars, tractors and other traffic, and is unfazed by other animals including cats and dogs.
She has previously been shown in hand with her previous owner.
We feel Seren would be best suited to an intermediate rider or above, who can continue to enjoy and develop her.
❤️ Temperament & manners
Seren is a laid-back, sensible and genuine mare who likes to please. She isn’t particularly cuddly or affectionate, but she is always happy to accept a treat!
She has fantastic ground manners and is very responsive.
She is also wonderfully maternal and has been very good with our 14-year-old daughter, looking after her and being very protective of her.
She is excellent for all routine care and is a pleasure to deal with. Vets, dentist, clipping and farrier are all normally carried out unsupervised and without issue.
Seren is currently barefoot and up to date with teeth, farrier, worming, physio and vaccinations.
She’s Previously lived out and now lives in so equally happy living in or out
Seren will be sold with all her tack and rugs
She has a good breeding background and would make a lovely addition to the right home.

She is a lovely, genuine mare who has been a very important part of our family, so finding the right home is extremely important to us.
