Manuka is a lovely homebred 148 cm 4-year-old Sports Pony mare with exceptional eventing bloodlines, correct conformation and all the attributes to make a fantastic all-rounder, potential for top event pony or grassroots pony.

She is by the renowned 148cm event stallion Prometheus, who successfully competed up to CCI3*, with Romulus as her grandsire—the sire of FEI event pony Buzz Lightyear. Her dam was an extremely sound rosette machine and serious hunting pony. She has the breeding, athleticism and attitude to go far with the right person.

She won a British Breeding Gold award and was assessed as the best virtually assessed 3 y o potential eventer in the country last year which included a vetting. Also shown in hand at County level, winning reserve champion.

Backed earlier this year before being turned away to mature, Manuka has now been back in work for over a month and is progressing brilliantly. She is snaffle mouthed in all phases. Although still green, she has been schooled on the flat, is happily jumping and unphased by fillers, hacks confidently both alone and in company, and has already attended a cross-country schooling where she proved brave, willing and eager to learn.

Over the coming weeks she will be attending further showjumping arena hires and cross-country schooling, so her price will increase as she continues her education.

She is not suitable for a novice rider purely due to her age and experience. She has a genuine nature, enjoys her work and has plenty of ability for someone looking to produce a talented young mare.
