Mouse has a lovely, laidback personality, he’s very affectionate and doesn’t get excitable. He is snaffle-mouthed and has been ridden bare back. Mouse has been mainly ridden by a teenager and a middle aged lady and will make a nice PC horse or great all rounder!
He will even look after a younger child, proving this when a 7 year old little girl took him on a hack! He is a true family pony! Mouse has also taken part in some pony days where we are based and was very well-behaved, proving to be a favourite.
He has three forward, balanced paces, is responsive to the leg and has been backed correctly. He will work in the arena and out on a hack, proving to love his jumping, both XC and SJ. He is very genuine to jump, never refuses or rushes. He goes at a nice steady, balanced pace, he hasn’t done an excessive amount of this due to his age. He hacks alone or in company (I often hack him with friends or alone) and is good with farm machinery, open spaces and dogs running around too. I have plans to take him to hound exercises this year and have all the confidence in him, it’s clear to see he would make a great hunt horse! Mouse has also been swimming in the lake on the farm, proving no issues with going in water. He has also been to the beach, where he was not strong or spooky, I cantered him on the buckle, and he was a delight at all times.
He learns very quickly and nicely pops round a small course. He would do a nice dressage test, especially catching the judges eye with his beautiful markings. We are currently trying to work on his outline at the moment but did not want to rush him with this. He has also popped some small XC jumps and has shown to be bold and keen.
He has been to arena hires, he suits either a busy or quiet yard. Never sick or sorry.
He is currently barefoot, good for the farrier and dentist. Also good to load and be handled by younger children, will also stand for hours being groomed, bathed and even clipped. Mouse is good to catch as well, would happily live in or out, he is not a fussy horse!
He would make a great mother-daughter share, pony club horse or all rounder.
A 5* home is very important for this lovely chap as he is so genuine and I would want someone to continue his education and bring out his full potential since he has so much to offer someone.
Only selling to a good home due to school commitments and limited time.
No novices/ beginners as he is young and I would like him to have the best education.
