Braeford Sandpiper
A very special opportunity to acquire Braeford Sandpiper, a 14-year-old, 14.1hh registered Highland stallion who has been produced, competed and loved from home for the last three years.
Piper has had a fantastic showing career, having qualified for the Royal International Horse Show twice and Horse of the Year Show twice, placing Top 6 on both HOYS appearances. He has also been awarded multiple Supreme Championships and Championships at major shows.
He has been exclusively ridden and has competed successfully throughout his career. Over the last three years he has been produced and competed by myself, taking him to some of the biggest showing rings in the country.
Away from the show ring, Piper is quite simply a joy to be around. He has a wonderful character and is incredibly kind, genuine and rewarding to have on the yard. He is good to do in every way and is a pleasure to handle.
He is excellent to ride, well schooled and willing, with a lovely attitude towards his work. He is the sort of pony who will turn his hoof to whatever is asked of him and I genuinely believe he would make a fantastic dressage or hacking pony alongside his showing experience.
He is suitable for a range of abilities, provided the home has the appropriate experience and support for owning a stallion.
Although he has enjoyed a very successful showing career, I would now love to see him find a home where he can enjoy a new chapter. His ideal future would be with someone looking for a dressage/hacking partner, or ideally a breeding home where his exceptional Highland type, character and bloodlines can be appreciated.

Piper is only being offered for sale due to my increasingly limited time alongside my career and having another pony who now needs more of my attention. This is an incredibly difficult decision and one that has not been taken lightly.
I am looking for an exceptional, 5-star forever home for him. His welfare and happiness are my absolute priority, and I would much rather wait for the right home than see him sold quickly. I will be extremely particular about where he goes.
