A very sad sale of the sweetest, kindest mare. Pearl is an 8yo, 15.2hh mare who has been with me for the past year and is now looking for a home where she can be enjoyed and given the time and partnership she deserves.
Pearl is a genuinely lovely horse with such a sweet nature. She has spent the past year doing plenty of hacking, fun rides and hunting, which she really enjoys. She is ridden in a snaffle out hacking and hunting and is not strong or difficult to ride.
Pearl has an amazing ping over a fence and has never stopped at a fence, either at home or out hunting.
When she gets excited she can play with her head, but this is nothing nasty or uncontrollable and she remains a very genuine, rideable horse.
Pearl is not a horse who particularly enjoys arena work. Some days she will go into the school and work perfectly, while other days she can plant her feet and make it clear that she isn't enjoying it. She has been checked over to make sure there is nothing underlying and she is completely fine; she simply doesn't always enjoy schooling.
For this reason, I feel she would be best suited to someone looking for a lovely family fun horse, happy hacker and hunting horse rather than a horse who needs to spend lots of time schooling.
With the right person, time and partnership, I believe Pearl could have the potential to become a lovely all-rounder, but at the moment I simply don't have the time to put into developing her due to my other horses and commitments.
She is extremely sweet and is not nasty. She’s living on a busy farmyard with dogs, children, chickens surrounding her daily.
She is happy living in or out and is equally happy alone or in company.
Pearl is also good to catch, clip, shoe and load and has no vices or known medical issues.
Pearl would suit someone wanting a lovely, kind horse to enjoy hacking, fun rides and hunting with, with the added bonus of a fantastic jump for possible potential in the future.
She is a horse with a huge amount to offer the right home and will be very sadly missed.
