A very well-put-together, athletic mare by the KWPN-approved showjumping stallion Vittorio, out of an Irish Sport Horse mare by Golden Lariat. Maggie has breeding worth a mention, and with her bold, careful jump and a promising foundation to her flatwork, she is starting to show why!
Maggie was broken in over the winter and then given time to mature. She has also had some natural horsemanship training, giving her a lovely grounding in handling. Her manners are impeccable, and she is a very easy mare to deal with on the ground.
Her flatwork is progressing nicely. She is still young and green, but has a willing attitude and works well in an outline in all three paces. Her canter is a particular highlight, with a lovely feel and plenty to build on. As she develops strength and consistency, we think she will produce a very pleasing test. She enjoys having a job and gives you plenty of reasons to look forward to the next schooling session.
Maggie started jumping this summer and is now working towards putting a course together. She is forward-thinking, steps up to the question and shows a great attitude to learning. There is a naturally balanced, athletic jump, with both boldness and care. As her flatwork becomes more established and she gains experience, we think there will be plenty more to come. An exciting prospect for someone who enjoys bringing on a young horse and seeing their work pay off.
She hacks alone and in company and has been very well behaved. The small amount of farm traffic she has seen has caused her no bother, and she has approached her outings with the same willing attitude.
Maggie is good to catch, groom, shoe and load. She has no malice in her, is not mareish and loves fuss and attention. A very sweet person who is easy to have around — she is always happy for you to spend a little longer telling her how lovely she is!
She is now ready to start heading out to clinics and arena hires, building her experience and taking the next steps in her education.
Offered for sale on behalf of her owner for a very genuine reason, with the right home a priority. Maggie would ideally suit someone with experience of producing young horses, who can give her clear guidance and time to develop. She has a fabulous attitude and plenty of talent, but she is still green and needs an experienced rider at this stage. A lovely opportunity for someone to enjoy the journey with her.
